From Peacock Feather To Flute!!
Krishna Janmashtami, Gokulashtami, Srikrishna Jayanti, Sree Jayanti or Janmashtami is a festival, that comes with many names. Rituals from Juhlanotsav to the popular ritual of 'Dahi-Handi' are celebrated on this day to observe the birth of Lord Krishna.
नन्द के घर आनंद भयो , हाथी घोड़ा पालकी, जय कन्हैया लाल की!
This festive day was colourfully illustrated by LGS’s Primary to Higher Secondary students, through traditional dress ups to dances and from covering mesmerising decorations to breath taking Dahi- Handi.
We were blessed to witness the appearance of Lord Krishna and Radha, when our lovely students conjured up with the images of them- dressed up beautifully and divinely! It was not only astonishing to watch students making mouth-watering traditional dishes but was equally captivating while learning those tiny-details on one of the most favourite “ladu-Gopal”.
Such displays of “WE ARE ONE” are one-of-the-kinds, which are always enthusiastically shown by our LGS’ s students and our doting parents.
