June 5 has been designated by the United Nations as World Environment Day, a day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. This day is observed across the world to respect and acknowledge everything that the environment has given mankind and take the pledge to protect it.And so, we all have a part to play in helping to protect and preserve the environment.

We at Laxmi Global School celebrated World Environment Day with a special assembly where students from all grades showcased their love and concern towards the Nature by making posters, giving speech on how important it is to be aware and to protect our environment, shared videos of nature around them and planting sapling and talking about importance of different plants.

We are living in exceptional times, times in which nature is reminding us that to take care of ourselves, we must take care of the environment which sustains us. People retreated more to nature and green spaces in cities during the COVID-19 pandemic as they provided coveted refuges and boosters for mental health.

As the theme of this year's World Environment Day is Ecosystem Restoration. Let's all take a pledge to 'Reimagine. Recreate. Restore.'
